Thank you for shopping at Atlantic Jackets. Our store is powered by the Shopify platform and uses Shopify Payments for secure checkout. This page explains the payment methods we accept, how we process transactions, and what to expect during checkout.
1) Accepted Payment Methods
- Credit / Debit Cards — Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover (processed via Shopify Payments)
- Shop Pay — accelerated checkout; may offer installments or pay-over-time (subject to eligibility)
- Apple Pay — on supported Apple devices/browsers
- Google Pay — on supported Android devices/browsers
Note: Availability of methods can vary by your device, browser, and location.
2) Secure Checkout & Data Protection
- PCI DSS — Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which is PCI-DSS compliant.
- Encryption (SSL/TLS) — All sensitive data is encrypted end-to-end.
- 3D Secure / SCA — Where required, additional verification (e.g., one-time passcode/biometrics) may be requested by your bank.
- We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
3) Authorization, Capture & When You’re Charged
- Authorization — When you place an order, your bank may place a temporary authorization hold for the order total.
- Capture — We capture (charge) your payment when your order is confirmed for processing.
- Multiple Items — Orders shipping in parts may result in separate captures (you’re only charged for shipped items).
4) Prices, Currency & Taxes
- Currency — All prices at checkout are displayed and charged in USD unless otherwise stated.
- Taxes — Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
- Discounts & Gift Cards — Enter codes/gift card numbers on the payment screen before you complete your order.
5) Shop Pay Installments (if offered)
Eligible U.S. customers may see Shop Pay Installments at checkout. Eligibility, payment plans, and APR (if any) are determined by the provider. Using installments won’t delay our fulfillment process.
6) Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment is declined:
- Confirm the card details, billing address, and available funds/credit
- Try another method (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another card)
- Contact your bank to approve the transaction

7) Fraud Screening & Order Verification
To protect customers and our brand, orders may be subject to automated and manual fraud checks. We may request additional verification (e.g., confirmation of billing/shipping details). Orders we cannot verify may be cancelled and refunded.
8) Refunds & Cancellations
- Returns Window — 30 days from delivery (see our Return & Refund Policy for full terms).
- Refund Processing Time — Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days after inspection back to your original payment method. Your bank may require additional time to post the credit.
- Order Changes/Cancellation — If you need to cancel or modify an order, contact us quickly. We’ll do our best, but cannot guarantee changes after processing begins.
9) Chargebacks & Disputes
If you believe there is an issue with your charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it promptly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may slow resolution while the payment provider investigates.
10) Invoices & Proof of Purchase
Your order confirmation email serves as your receipt. If you need a formal invoice for accounting or business purposes, reply to your confirmation email and we’ll provide one.
